Bud Ratliff Picture

Bud Ratliff serves as President of The Solarity Group, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and Project Management Practice. Bud developed the Project Management line of business, a range of Project Management courses for corporations and government agencies, and consults on projects, large and small. For his work in helping the Project Management community, Microsoft selected Bud as one of their Most Valuable Professionals in Microsoft Project for a second year in a row; he is one of less than 30 people internationally who hold that distinction.

 

He has an extensive background as a Systems Engineer, working with large infrastructures, and his training and experience as a Project Manager gives him the unique ability to understand the processes and technology required to implement successful projects. An entertaining and engaging speaker, Bud has delivered many Project Management practitioner and certification classes, and trained Microsoft Partners across the United States, Mexico, and Brazil on how to envision, plan, implement, and manage Enterprise Project Management solutions.

 

An author of several books for Microsoft Press, Bud is also passionate about making a difference in his community, and is co-founder of the Lexington Microsoft Users Group (www.lexmug.com), serves as President of the Bluegrass PMI Chapter board, was a Steering Committee member for the Kentucky International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners (IAMCP) chapter, is a Leadership Lexington alumni and often speaks in the community about project management, technology and business.

 

Bud holds the highest systems engineer (MCSE) and training (MCT) certifications from Microsoft, the Project+ certification from CompTIA, and earned the coveted Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.

Nancy Ward Picture

Nancy I. Ward has over 25 years experience in program/business management encompassing both public and private sectors.  Her areas of focus are Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, Information Technology Planning and Management, Project Management and Alliance Building/Partnering.  She retired from Kentucky State Government after a variety of professional and executive positions including the Assistant Director of the Kentucky Information Systems Commission, 1st Chief Information Office of the Kentucky Cabinet for Revenue and Special Assistant to the Governor serving as Deputy Project Manager of EMPOWER KY.   She now has a private consulting practice and is a consulting partner with the Solarity Group, a project management consulting firm.  Nancy also owns a small business in the specialty foods industry. 

 

Nancy served as the project  coordinator in the in the development of the strategic planning model and process for all executive branch cabinets and also developed an award winning strategic planning system for information technology in Kentucky’s state government. .  She also coordinated and facilitated the development of a project management and leadership curriculum for Kentucky state government.   She continues her advocacy, consultancy and training services in the area of project management, strategic planning and business management.

 

Nancy has her MBA from Xavier University with an area of concentration in Management Information Systems and her B.A. from the University of Kentucky.  She is a member of the Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter of the Project Management Institute, Professional Women’s Forum, National Association of Women Business Owners, Commerce Lexington and the Bluegrass Alliance for Women (BAW).  Nancy brings a cross section of experience and wide range of first hand knowledge of strategic and tactical business management.

Michelle Sainte Carson is a Project Management Professional (PMP®), providing training, coaching, and consulting in Project Management, Quality, and Continuous Improvement. 

 

Having managed many quality and continuous improvement projects and programs, she has developed and facilitated courses in the areas of project management, process documentation, conflict management, time management, and effective leadership.  Michelle’s extensive background in Quality Management includes directing and achieving ISO 9000 registrations, quality awards and local and state certifications.  Her past and current participation with local and national quality membership groups such as the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the Center for Quality in Management (CQM) includes teaching courses, and acting as an examiner for state Quality Awards.  She is a member of the Kentuckiana PMI Chapter and ASQ and is ITIL V2 Foundation Certified. 

 

With 15 years experience in business, process improvement, leadership, training, and strategic planning, Michelle launched her training and consulting business in the summer of 2008.  She was raised in Winchester, KY, attended the University of Kentucky, and holds a BA from Indiana University. 

Michelle is the President of MCT Consulting and Training, Inc. and currently resides with her husband, Chris, and their dog, “Tucker”, in Louisville, KY.

 

Mr. Lynn Frock

PMP, MCTS, MOUS

Lynn Frock has over forty years of experience managing projects, consulting, improving processes and methodologies, and developing product software. He brings to each engagement skills and experience in Project Management and process improvement, including:

 

·         Planning, scheduling, tracking, resource load balancing and reporting;

·         Providing Microsoft Office Project classes and schedule assessment;

·         Mentoring project managers;

·         Quality Function Deployment (QFD);

·         Software engineering;

·         Leadership, management, and development and consulting on quality issues.

 

In addition to thirteen years working as a consultant, Lynn's professional experience includes over five years with Cincinnati Bell in an internal management assessment and consultant capacity and 27 years with Cincinnati Milacron.

 

CERTIFICATION/ EDUCATION/CONTINUING EDUCATION

 

Lynn has earned certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute and the MOUS Project certification.

 

He holds a BA degree from Wilmington College.
